Lucas Peterson

Lucas Petersen is a licensed master of social work and therapist at Avery’s House, where he provides individual, family, and group therapy services.

Born in Kansas and raised in Idaho, Lucas has been in our community for many years. He started at Idaho State University to study engineering and run track and field, but soon realized that helping others was a better path for him. He transferred to Utah Valley University, where he continued his track and field career and earned a bachelor’s degree. He then returned home to complete a master’s degree from Boise State University.

Lucas is experienced in providing outpatient therapy, including individual, marriage, and family therapy for all ages. Outgoing, genuine, and authentic, he is skilled at listening, supporting, and finding new possibilities in therapy sessions. Lucas’s hobbies include spending quality time with friends and family, watching and playing sports, and playing board and card games.
