Johnnie Ghiglia

Johnnie Ghiglia is a Community Relations Specialist, where Johnnie is part of the Business
Development / Marketing team. Johnnie’s efforts are to increase awareness within various
local and national communities and businesses regarding all programs within Modern
Recovery Network. Additionally, he works on building quality relationships with mental
health and treatment professionals to increase and maintain admissions and positive
treatment outcomes which is the center focus of this position.
Johnnie has been blessed to have had the opportunities of working in the NFL as an
Athletic Trainer, being the Head Certified Athletic Trainer at Grand Canyon University and
completing a 21-year career in Law Enforcement and now a Community Relations
Specialist.
Johnnie also worked part time as a Floating East Valley Satellite Coordinator for the
one•n•ten nonprofit organization and is the Founder of a podcast (OutIsTheNewIn – You
have a Purpose) that focuses on giving people the platform to tell their personal story of
coming out, allyship, advocacy, trauma, addiction and sobriety all-encompassing mental
health. Johnnie is a Coalition Member of Mental Health Matters Arizona as well. Johnnie
sits on several nonprofit organizations’ boards including, Lights, Camera, Discover and
Phoenix Pride Law Enforcement Advisory Committee.
